Well I thought that there were two different kinds of locksthat could be placed on the laptop. Maybe I used the wrong term when I called it the harddrive password. Not sure what the other logon password is called, but this happened to me a couple of years ago and my girlfriend at the time was able to bypass it and start over logging into the computer.

I thought that the other name was a motherboard password, but I may be mistaken judging by the ansers I gotten here in this forum. I know that she used cnet to bypass the password lockout, but were not exactly on speaking terms these days so I guess calling here is probably not in my best interest at this point.
